Aubergine Takapuna was voted Best Restaurant in Takapuna by voters in the Takapuna Beach Business Association competition.
This award is one step closer to reaching Aubergine's goal of Best Auckland Mediterranean Restaurant.

The chef's signature dish, Duck La Orange - crispy duck breast served with roast golden kumera, sauteed vegetables and orange honey jus.

 

Also  popular is the rack of lamb, which comes with a blue cheese and walnut crust, grilled peppers, potato garlic and herbs mash, and rosemary jus.

 

The Lamb Shanks are another very popular dish at Aubergine, being very tender and tasty. The Lamb Shanks are oven roasted in thyme, rosemary and herbs jus, basil pesto,and  served with potato garlic mash. The Restaurant policy on Lamb Shanks is that if the meat does not simply fall off the bone then the shanks aren't good enough.

 

The fish of the day is guaranteed fresh. The fish is pan fried in chardonnay garlic butter and served with roasted new potatoes and sauteed garden vegetables.
